About the Author
Peter Kurze was born in 1965 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The son of a retired U.S.Foreign Service Officer, his life
has largely been molded by long stays and numerous
visits to many countries, including Nepal, Morocco, India,
France, Canada, Barbados, Germany, Belgium,
Switzerland, Japan and the United States. Peter speaks
four languages and has traveled to some fifty countries
on five continents.

The author received his M.A. in International Relations
from the Johns Hopkins University’s Paul H. Nitze School
of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and his B.A. in
European Integration and International Studies from The
American University, both in Washington, D.C. He has
also studied in Brussels, Belgium, and Göttingen,
Germany.
True to his cosmopolitan upbringing, Peter has worked
in an international capacity for a German conglomerate,
a private U.S. company, and a multi-national trade
association based in Japan.
